This step is too easy! All you have to do is
"borrow paint from the glob, and spread it around the surrounding
area. The streaks from the paint brush are standard fare for many
faux artists, but we're about to take this a step higher than average.
Make sure that you don't swipe all the paint from the detail areas.
In this instance we want the roses to look good, so leave some of that
heavy dark paint in the crevasses as you see it in the uppermost
rose. The paint will dry thinner, so the detail will come
back. You should however take paint off the outer edges of
the detail so that when the paint dries it will have the shinier elements
to set them off. In this case the tips of the petals will be a
brighter gold color. Neat, huh? |
