Okay!  Now we're going to get into something pretty substantial, and educational for all you do-it-yourselfers!
The ceiling is nice, but what would a great ceiling be without a killer border?  We decided to put up an angled border that would match the feel of the Victorian era, so we hit Lowe's where Beth picked out this fancy-schmancey rose vine pattern.  It's made from a polyurethane mold, but will be up where no one can touch it, so who cares?  Besides, the real stuff made of metal would have cost us over a thousand bucks.  We picked up 48' of this for only $3.62 per foot, a total cost of about $120.  That's pretty reasonable.
#1 is the base coat paint for the metallic finish.
#2 is the back side of a length of molding.  As you can see it is extremely cheesy looking.
#3 is the pre-primed face of the molding.
#4 is a length that I primed in advance to show you how it would look because I'm a nice guy.
Now, some people might want not want to use color, and that look is perfectly okay if not extremely boring.  Note how even just the base coat helps bring out the pattern!
