Okay. so here's what we're trying to do:
1) In the Master Dressing Room, we plan to expand the small closet. That's happening right now, and it will more than double the closet space. 2) See where it says "New Common Hallway"? That used to be the Master Bedroom Closet with a set of stairs leading to the attic above. We're tearing out the stairs (we have another set we can use in Guest Room #2 above the Main Stairs, so who needs two?), and turning the closet/stair space into a hallway. 3) At the "End of Hall", we will build out a small 4x4' area into Guest Room #1. This will have doors on both side; one for the Guest Room #1, and one for Guest Room #2. 4) The Master Bathroom is going to be extended from a small 5x7' room to a whopping 17x7' length. We need to rip out the stairs to do this, thus the need for a Common Hallway. Guest Room #1 will also have access to the Master Bathroom, which we won't mind sharing every once in a while because most people will prefer using Guest Room #2 with its own private bathroom. 5) The old closet door in the Master Dressing Room will become a door to the top of the Main Stairs leading downstairs to the Living Room. 6) The two small closets at the end of the Master Bedroom are currently one massive closet with a walled-up window behind. To bring in more light and air while also making the house look nicer from the exterior, we'll chop the closet into two spaces. We'll them put the window back in. 7) The Laundry Room doesn't yet exist, but is in the works. The idea will be to try to get in shape while doing a load of wash. |
