The Famous Hot Weiner Company

    This is one of those fantastic little places that you might see on the Food Network's "Diners, Dives and Drive-Ins."  It's been a solid mainstay for locals for many years, and still packs 'em in every day!
    The main fare is hot dogs, and the Famous Hot Weiner Company's special is a couple of dogs with their locally famous chili and a mountain of finely sliced white onion bits smothering the entire meal with a side of fries.  That's it.  Nothing special, right?
    Wrong!
    If you only eat one more hot dog for the rest of your life, make the trip to Hanover and be sure to make it one of the Famous Hot Weiner Company's dogs.  It's impossible to describe why they stand out the way they do.  You'll just have to try it, and then see for yourself!  This is seriously good food at a seriously reasonable price!
    Note: If you're sensitive to onions, bring along a roll of Tums.  These things really hang with you for a few hours!

Hey, when we do these reviews, we don't tell the management on duty what we're doing there.  The last thing we want is preferential treatment.  Our belief is that every business should open its doors to its patrons 100% at the top of their game, and if an establishment gets a bad review?  It was probably well deserved.  The same can be said for great reviews!

But everyone has a bad day now and then, and we're open to giving second chances.  This website gets thousands of hits from locals, tourists, and web surfers. Our intent has never been to crush a business just because of a lousy server, or because the head chef had to head out of town for a funeral.  Things happen, and we understand that, but the simple fact of the matter is that we work very hard for our money just like you.  When we honor a place of business by choosing it to spend our hard-earned cash, we expect it to be a good experience.  Anything less is insulting, and when that happens?  Buddy, you're going to hear about it, and so is everyone else.

If you want us to give your business a second chance, no problem.  We'll be happy to do so, but not on our dime.  We'll come by, and when we're done we'll tell the server to present the check to the manager who will zero it out as a business expense on your part.  Don't worry about the tip.  Your server will get what they deserve based on the price of the meal, and the service they provided.

However, we will not let you know when we're coming.  That's of utmost importance.  Every consumer should be given equal treatment, and if you run your business properly you should be okay with this concept.

And finally, if you're one of the many business owners who was happy with your review, thank you for what must have been a wonderful experience!  We're glad to get the word out to others that you're doing things right!
