Casa Gonzalez

Location:
611 N Mildred St

Ranson
, WV 25438

Like most areas, our region has a nice assortment of Mexican restaurants.  This is our personal favorite, and for good reason!
The first thing you'll notice about Casa Gonzalez is the fine service.  The staff seems to work as a team, so patrons may be waited on by several different people throughout the course of a meal.  This works out very well for the patron for the simple reason that one never has to worry about their main waiter/waitress being too busy to take proper care of any particular table.  Chips, salsa, and beverages are never lacking while waiting for the main courses, or even afterward.
Is it authentic?  You bet your bottom dollar it is, and the creations are both original and delicious!  Of course, they also have the regular fare you'll find in most traditional Mexican restaurants, but Casa Gonzalez puts its own special touch on each and every item in such a way that the effect is both subtle and unique.
And, sure, the decor is pure Mexican, too.  Sometimes at Mexican establishments this is done well, and sometimes it's an assault on the eyes, yet despite the bullfighting paintings, Casa Gonzalez seems to pull off the look so that it's rather comfortable.
But it's the food that really makes the difference!
I can honestly say that after eating there about a dozen times, and trying as many different selections, I have zero complaints.  None.  Each meal was absolutely delicious, and the portions were extremely generous.  I'd make a suggestion on what to try first, but I'd be doing my readers an injustice.  Everyone who tries Casa Gonzalez out should just go with whatever entree their instincts dictate, and the experience will no doubt be a good one!
Looking for great food, impeccable service, and all at a great value?  This is the place!

If you're the owner, would you like a second chance review?  Read the following....

Hey, when we do these reviews, we don't tell the management on duty what we're doing there.  The last thing we want is preferential treatment.  Our belief is that every business should open its doors to its patrons 100% at the top of their game, and if an establishment gets a bad review?  It was probably well deserved.  The same can be said for great reviews!

But everyone has a bad day now and then, and we're open to giving second chances.  This website gets thousands of hits from locals, tourists, and web surfers. Our intent has never been to crush a business just because of a lousy server, or because the head chef had to head out of town for a funeral.  Things happen, and we understand that, but the simple fact of the matter is that we work very hard for our money just like you.  When we honor a place of business by choosing it to spend our hard-earned cash, we expect it to be a good experience.  Anything less is insulting, and when that happens?  Buddy, you're going to hear about it, and so is everyone else.

If you want us to give your business a second chance, no problem.  We'll be happy to do so, but not on our dime.  We'll come by, and when we're done we'll tell the server to present the check to the manager who will zero it out as a business expense on your part.  Don't worry about the tip.  Your server will get what they deserve based on the price of the meal, and the service they provided.

However, we will not let you know when we're coming.  That's of utmost importance.  Every consumer should be given equal treatment, and if you run your business properly you should be okay with this concept.

And finally, if you're one of the many business owners who was happy with your review, thank you for what must have been a wonderful experience!  We're glad to get the word out to others that you're doing things right!
